This post is dedicated to my Dad who, at age 18 with ingenuity, gusto and courage, embarked on a short two year (1949 to 1950) ski jumping career in his native Austria! This past week at the age of almost 91, he enjoyed watching the Day 1 Women’s Ski Jumping event and recalled with family those jumping days.


Basic Sequence - ski jumping

respect your limits, modify where needed
posture set-up:
  • stand or sit

  • feel both feet grounded and connected to the earth

  • spine is tall

take off:
fly like an eagle:
land like a pro:
claim GOLD:

Explore the Movement & Everyday Living

Have good old fashion fun with movement and your amazing imagination.

Pretend you are the most fantastic athlete in the world.

Get off the couch and bend, move, flow, spin, twist with the athletes as you watch the 2022 Winter Olympics. 

Yoga Practice

As one gets familiar with various yoga poses, you begin to see them everywhere in sport. 

Discover Amazing

You are amazing. Your body is amazing. Your life is amazing. 

Remember that wonderful ‘Movement Feedback Loop’ and your POWER to engage it whenever you choose movement:

1) all movement feeds the brain with sensory and movement information

2) the more you feed your brain with movement, the better organized your body becomes

3) a better organized body results in a healthier, stronger and happier you

Loop back to 1)  feed yourself movement daily, regularly, with purpose and in a variety of ways
