Wow! 70 years of being a Queen. Why not be your own Queen for a day or even everyday?
Canada, like other Commonwealth countries, participated in celebrating Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee this past week.
The Basic Practice - fine lady twist
always stay within your limits - don’t over twist
posture set-up:
sit on a sturdy chair
knees close together
feet pointing forward
hands lightly on your knees
shift feet over the left
keep sitting tall
lift up feet
set them down slightly to the left
raise your left arm
lift your left arm upwards
give a queenly wave hello
smile
twist to the right
left arm leads the torso to twist right
place left hand on right knee
right hand can lightly hold back of chair
stay and breathe here for a good 4 to 8 relaxed breath cycles
keep twist gentle
release
bring legs and hands back to centre
repeat twist to the left
shift feet over to the right
raise right arm
right arm leads torso in twisting to the left
breathe here for a good 4 to 8 relaxed breath cycles
release
return arms and legs back to centre
keep twisting for extra waist trimming :)
Explore the Movement - feel regal, grand and amazing
feel the spine rise up out of the pelvis
ground down through sitting bones
feel the collarbones board across the front
gently bring shoulder blades together and down
feel neck elongate
draw cheekbones back
feel regal, grand and amazing!
Everyday Living
You can incorporate this sitting twist every time you are sitting in a chair. Each twist helps keep the waistline trim :)

Discover Amazing
Queen Elizabeth II, no matter one’s opinion of royalty, sets a fine example of what is meant to be Queen. She has lived this for 70 years! That in itself is amazing!
We are all meant to live with a sense of royal dignity. Below is me having a bit of fun seeing my own profile on a Canadian coin as Queen Elizabeth. It feels regal, grand and amazing!
