Father's Play
June 19, 2022 in North America is Father's Day. A day to honour Fathers and go out to play with your kids :)
It does not matter if you are a Father or not. Or if you have kids or not. The message is go to a playground, have fun and play.
The Basic Practice - balanced play
respect your limits, modify where needed
posture set-up
find a playground
find a safe place to practice balance
use an aid to balance safely
practice balance on right leg
press right foot into ground
shift weight to right leg
put your arms out to balance
lift the left leg back
lean torso over right leg to balance
say “ta- dah”
practice balance on left leg
press left foot into ground
shift weight to left leg
put your arms out to balance
lift the right leg back
lean torso over left leg to balance
say “ta-dah”

Yoga Practice
Yoga has many formal balances. Tree pose, Half Moon pose, Warrior III pose plus many more. Ground your foot to the earth, be strong and stable in the standing leg and balance away.
Everyday Living & Discover Amazing
Life is a balancing act. With every step you take you are literally balancing on one leg even if only for the briefest moment (nano second).
If you have lost your ability to balance, rediscover it. Practice in a safe place your balance. Press feet into the ground even if sitting in a chair. See yourself balancing. Really feel into it. Practice lots!!! Discover how your imagination and actual body can work together.
Leg and life balance is ongoing playful work :) Keep it up. You, your life and ability to move are worth it!
